Health Care Camp
recently hosted a series of camps for high school students interested in entering the health care profession after college. They were given the opportunity to tour the hospitals, and see exactly what real professionals were responsible for. “Students visited labs, hospitals and emergency medical providers. They scrubbed up, observed operations, participated in mock emergencies, practiced CPR and found out what it takes to work in health care. They attended lectures and learned about financial aid packages.”
The camps were for students ages 13 to 20 and showed them what they would have to take in school if they wanted to continue in such a career.
